In one of the more attention-catching races of Barren County’s political season, Republican Mike Richardson won his bid to unseat Democratic incumbent County Attorney Kathryn Thomas, according to numbers gathered from polling locations and compiled by Glasgow News 1 / Commonwealth Broadcasting Corp. team members.
Unofficial results from the county clerk’s office were still unavailable as of publication of this report.

Democratic incumbent Sheriff Kent Keen won by a similar margin over Steve Garrison, a Republican, to hold onto his seat. Aaron Shirley was resoundingly voted jailer over Cody Huff, all according to those preliminary figures.
