Delsie Virginia Arnold, 96, Springfield, Missouri
Delsie Virginia Arnold, 96, of Springfield, Missouri, died at 8:15 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2022, from complications with dementia. She had moved to Turners Rock Independent Living complex in early 2021, but her health quickly declined and she moved into the Memory Care Unit where she remained a resident until her death.
Mrs. Arnold was known and admired for the amazing handcrafts she had done all her life: paper elevation pictures; painting on wood crafts; needlepoint; sewing of all kinds, including clothing and straw hats for Barbie Dolls; and Fabergé-type decorated eggs from real eggs. She also loved flowers and was a master gardener, at one time showcasing 100 types of irises and lilies in her gardens. She and her husband Max were fortunate enough to vacation on five of the seven continents and more than a dozen islands around the world.
She was born one of seven children of Lucy and Arthur Pedigo of Glasgow, Kentucky. Parents and four brothers, Ray, Max, Howard and Wally Pedigo, and two sisters, Gladys Berry and Tessie Mae Wheatley, have preceded her in death. Surviving is a large circle of nephews and nieces and their families.
She is also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Max Arnold. She is survived by her only child, daughter Virginia Hoskins Clark of Springfield; grandsons, Brian Hoskins (wife Anna) and Greg Hoskins (wife Crissie); and great-grandchildren Evan, Izzy and Hollan, all of Boise, Idaho.
Mrs. Arnold’s funeral is at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Gorman-Scharpf Funeral Home. Graveside service is at 1 p.m. Monday, Dec. 19, 2022, with burial alongside her husband in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Randolph. Visitation is from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

James Marshall Doyle, 75, Park City
James Marshall Doyle, 75, of Park City died Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2022, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. The Jeffersonville, Indiana, native was born April 9, 1947, to the late Marvin Bransford Doyle and Elizabeth Lamastus Doyle. He was married to Peggy Hargrove Doyle, who survives.
James served our country in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War era. Upon completing his naval service, he served as a pastor in College Grove, Tennessee; Nashville, Tennessee; Jeffersonville, Indiana; Jackson, Mississippi; Louisville; Homestead, Florida; Newport News, Virginia; Brazoria, Texas; and Yuma, Arizona until he retired. He was a member of Horse Cave Baptist Church.
Besides his wife, he leaves to honor his memory a son, James M. Doyle II of Portsmouth, Virginia; two daughters, Charisa Doyle Johnson (Joe) of Angleton, Texas, and Cara Doyle Rupp (Jesse) of Park City; grandchildren, Alex Doyle, Jacob Johnson, Sophia Johnson, Amy Elizabeth Trevino, Zoe Johnson, Emily Johnson, Paige Johnson, Jessica Lyla Rupp and Jack William Rupp; siblings, Lesley Doyle (Ann), Robert Doyle (Diana), Marvin Doyle, Larry Doyle (Becky) and John Doyle (Rhonda). He was also preceded in death by one sister, Lee Doyle.
A celebration of life service is at 6 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 22, 2022, at Horse Cave Baptist Church. Patton Funeral Home, Park City Chapel, is entrusted with arrangements.

Emma Lou Jones, 104, Hiseville
Emma Lou Jones, 104, of Hiseville, died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022, at Signature Healthcare in Horse Cave. A native of Wilson County, Tennessee, she was a daughter of the late Theophilus and Emma Lou Stevens Tomlinson. She was a homemaker and farm wife and a member of Hiseville Baptist Church.
Survivors include a son J. Terry Jones of Hiseville; one nephew, William Jones and wife Diana of Hiseville; one niece Margaret Rose Ligon of Lebanon, Tennessee; one niece-in-law, Patricia Jones of Louisville; and five great-nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Terry “J.T.” Jones, and one nephew, Robert Jones.
Graveside service is at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hiseville Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.

Lizzie Kay Vaughn, 58, Smiths Grove
Lizzie Kay Vaughn, 58, of Smiths Grove died Wednesday, Dec. 14, 2022, at Metcalfe Health Care Center. She was born Dec.r 14, 1964, in Barren County to the late James Bulle and Janie Pedigo Bulle. Lizzie loved dancing, sewing, crocheting, and coloring in her free time.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gary Vaughn; one daughter, Jessica Nicole Hall (Zach); one stepdaughter, Jessica Shaw (Cory); eight grandchildren, Tyler Hall, Elijah Hall, Tessa Childress, Jaeden Netherton, Jason Netherton, Bridget Brayden and Braxton Shaw; one great-grandchild, Jacelyn Childress; and two brothers, Floyd Bulle (Lois) and Charles Bulle (Judy).
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Janie Marie Bulle; two sons, Jason Netherton and Jeremy Vaughn; one brother, Jimmy Bulle; and two sisters, Becky Thurman and Virginia Wallace.
A graveside service is at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 17, 2022, at Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation is from 1:30 p.m. until time for the service at the cemetery.
