Sherry Lynn Honeycutt
Sherry Lynn Honeycutt, 61, of Hiseville died Friday, Jan. 20, 2023, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. Born Oct. 11, 1961, in Chicago, she was a daughter of the late Coy and Winnie Rowe Coomer.
Sherry was owner/operator of Sherry’s Restaurant in Hiseville. She was a lover of children and a member of the Temple Baptist Church, where she had also served as Sunday school teacher.
Survivors include her husband, Robert Honeycutt; three children, Corey Bailey, Justin Bailey, and Whitney Bell and husband Chris; five grandchildren, Austin Bailey, Sierra92 Bailey, Ty Bailey, Jase Bailey and Haiden White; one sister, Patty Jessie; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Jerry Jessie.
Funeral service is at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial in Hiseville Cemetery. Visitation begins at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Ronald “Ronnie” Wallace Jeffries, 82, of Horse Cave, died Jan. 21, 2023. He was born in Metcalfe County on Jan. 12, 1941, to the late William (Tee) Jeffries and the late Ruby (Edwards) Jeffries. He was the owner of Jeffries Auto Salvage and retired from LG&E. Ronnie was a member of the Savoyard Missionary Baptist Church, where he joined and was saved in September 1965.
Mr. Jeffries is survived by his wife Joyce Jeffries; one son, Tim Jeffries; one granddaughter, Heather Keeney (Ryan); three great grandchildren, Makayla Keeney, Helene Keene and Kieler Keeney; one sister, Vickie Fancher (Elton); one niece, Melissa Parocai.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Glenda Asbury Jeffries.
Funeral service is at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Jeffries Cemetery in Savoyard. Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday morning until time for the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Glasgow State Nursing Facility Resident Fund.

Mavis Sneed
Mavis Maylene Sneed, born Feb. 1, 1930, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2023. She was the third child born to the late Welby and Bessie Gibson Fields. On Dec. 20, 1945, she married James Austin Sneed and to this union was born two daughters, Glenda Sue and Tammy Annette.
In July 1950, she was saved at an old-fashioned tent revival in Sparksville. She joined Sparksville Baptist Church and later moved her membership to Basil Chapel United Baptist Church, where she attended and remained a member until her health started to decline. She also attended Rolling Hills United Baptist Church. She was a retired seamstress from Handmacher Fashions in Glasgow, where she worked for 22 years. She was also an avid quilt maker and doll collector.
Mavis was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years on March 6, 2015. Also preceding were her parents; three sisters, Mary Rigdon and twins Barbara and Bobbie Fields; two brothers, Marvin Fields and Billy Fields; grandparents, John and Mary Gibson and the Rev. Elijah and Louvada Fields; one son-in-law, Eugene Wood; and one former son-in-law, David Dennison.
Survivors include her daughters, Glenda Sue Wood and Tammy Annette Mosby and her husband Tim, all of Glasgow; four grandchildren, Marsha Gentry and husband Michael of Cave City, Sherry Maxwell and husband Eugene Maxwell of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Carissa Uptegraff of Glasgow, and Shane Wood and wife Jessica of Louisville; five great-grandchildren, Emily Houchens and husband Brent of Glasgow, Andrew Gentry and fiancée Chasey Jessie of Lexington, Peyton Maxwell of Savannah, Geogia, Ben Maxwell of Lexington, and Hunter Uptegraff of Glasgow; several nieces, nephews, and friends; and her caregivers, Heather Hammon and Peggy Furlong, and special longtime caregiver, Sandy Houk.
Funeral service is at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2023, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial beside her husband in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation begins at 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
William Argel ‘Bill’ Veach, 91, Fountain Run
William Argel “Bill” Veach, 91, of Fountain Run, Kentucky, died Friday, Jan. 20, 2023, at his residence.
The Barren County native was of the Baptist faith and served his country in the U.S Army. He worked for G..E. and then spent the next 65 years serving Hart County as a barber. He enjoyed farming, fishing, hunting and playing checkers.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Alvie and Virgie Kirby Veach; one brother, Mitchell Veach; and two sisters, Ruby Vincent and Leatrice Gibson.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Elaine Veach; one special, adopted daughter, Lela Penwell (Terry); and a host of many friends, including Greg Johnson.
Funeral service is at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, 2023, at Winn Funeral Home, with burial in Fountain Run Cemetery. Visitation is from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday and 8 to 11 a m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
