Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear has appointed a local resident to the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education.
LaDonna Rogers of Glasgow, who is executive vice president of engagement and culture at T.J. Samson Community Hospital, replaces Richard Nelson, whose term expired. Rogers’ term is through Dec. 31, 2028, according to a news release from the governor’s office.
Rogers has previously served six years on the Western Kentucky University board of regents and 12 years on the Glasgow Independent Schools board of education.
Other members joining the council for the same period are Meredith Figg of Beaver Dam and Jennifer Collins of London, according to the news release.
The council is composed of 13 citizen members, a faculty member and a student member, all appointed by the governor. The commissioner of education serves as a nonvoting, ex-officio member, according to the council website.
