Red Cross Elementary School had its first Who Was? History Bee event in this month. The Who Was? History Bee is a trivia contest happening across the United States during the 2022-2023 school year.
Four regional champion student winners, each representing their own geographical region, will earn a $2,500 U.S. Savings Bond, a Who Was? library set for themselves, and a Who Was? library set for their classroom or library. Along with receiving their prizes, the four regional champions will be celebrated in a virtual Who Was? History Bee Roblox event on a to-be-announced date in May.
Classroom winners at Red Cross Elementary were, in fifth grade Brianna Hurt, Madison Parnell and Brently Coulter; in fourth grade, Tavis Druin, Maddie Brinkerhoff, Abby Kingrey and James Clark; and, in third grade, Latcher Harbison, Pailynn Dial, Stella Jean Shelton and Langston Pace.
RCE’s 2022-2023 Who Was? History Bee school champion is third-grade student Latcher H. We are very proud of all the students who participated in our first annual Who Was? History Bee.

Medals and, for the champion, a trophy were presented to the top performers in the Who Was? History Bee at Red Cross Elementary School. SUBMITTED PHOTO
