UPDATED: City has set up dumpsters for tree debris only

Glasgow Mayor Henry Royse has updated GN1 with the following:
 The City of Glasgow is offering free drop-off sites for residents needing to dispose of tree debris after Friday’s wind storm.  
ONLY tree debris will be accepted, as it will be composted. As of Saturday afternoon, dumpsters are at two locations in the city: 
1. Gorin Park in the parking lot next to the tennis courts.
2. Beaver Creek Park, in the rear parking lot to the left as you pull in.
Starting Monday morning, an additional dumpster will be at Weldon Park in the parking lot near the baseball field.  Dumpsters will be available until 6 p.m
each day. No household waste or hazardous waste will be accepted.

Glasgow Mayor Henry Royse has advised Glasgow News 1 that the Glasgow Regional Landfill will stay open until 2 p.m. Saturday to allow people to bring storm debris.
He also passed along an announcement from the Barren County Family YMCA, 1 YMCA Way in Glasgow, that it is an emergency shelter in place.
“If you need shower facilities or a warm place for your family, please contact the YMCA at 270-651-9622. The YMCA does not provide food, toiletries, beds or clothing. The YMCA closes today at 6:00 p.m.,” the organization states.
