SUBMITTED
In response to requests, the library is beginning a new service on a trial basis.
Beginning April 3, it will offer a free jigsaw puzzle exchange. The exchange will be across from the circulation desk upstairs. Participants may bring in up to five gently used puzzles meeting the following conditions:
— Size must be 250 pieces or more,
— It must be in its original box,
— It must be in good condition,
— It MUST have all pieces, and
— The subject matter must be appropriate for a general audience.
Participants may exchange on an even or fewer than basis, e.g. donate one, get one or donate five, get five or fewer. You may donate the maximum of five puzzles without taking any; however, you may not take more than you leave. The donation limit per visit is in place due to a limited amount of space.
Participants understand that the library does not guarantee the condition of the puzzles or the correct number of pieces. Puzzles do not have to be returned unless participant wishes to swap or donate them.
Early donors may not find enough puzzles for a swap at first. In this case, the library will issue tickets to select the appropriate number of puzzles at a future date. When the exchange shelves are reasonably full, no tickets will be issued. Selection must be made or forfeited at that time.
Questions about this service should be directed to Amy, the adult services manager, at 270-651-2824.
