At approximately 10a.m. this morning multiple units from the Glasgow Fire Department responded to the report of a fire at Bucky Bee’s BBQ on L Rogers Wells Blvd.
One of the owners, Ransom Buckingham, was present. “It is not a bad fire, just a small fire. This looks worse than it is, but it is definitely not the way we planned to start our Tuesday,” Buckingham said. Buckingham expects it to be business as usual in the near future. According to a press release from the Glasgow Fire Department, they responded to a report of a structure fire at Bucky Bee’s BBQ. When units arrived, all occupants had evacuated the structure. Smoke was pushing out of the roof of the structure. The fire was extinguished by GFD personnel. The fire was contained to the grill and hood system.
Glasgow Fire Department was assisted by Glasgow Police Department, Barren Metcalfe Ambulance Service and Glasgow Electric Plant Board.
Units were on scene approximately 2 hours. No injuries were reported.
