Glasgow, Cave City announces Easter festivities

Easter is drawing near and many local entities have celebrations planned.  

Glasgow parks and Recreation will host a free Easter egg hunt at the Beaver Creek Park April 8 at 1 – 1:30 p.m.

The hunts will be staggered by age groups, with just walking to 3 years of age starting at 1 p.m., 4 -7 year olds at 1:15 p.m. and 8 -10 year olds at 1:30 p.m.  Over 12,000 eggs filled with candy will be scattered around the park. There will also be grand prizes.  For more information regarding this event, call 270-651-2811.

The Cave City community is planning their Easter festivities for April 1 at 1 p.m. at the Cave City Convention Center. They are inviting everyone from 3 years old to 100 years old to come out and hunt eggs.  There will be three grand prizes given per age group in six groups.

Refreshments including sodas, hot dogs, shaved ice and cotton candy will be available. Photo with the Easter bunny will be available.
