Fidel “Jack” Chapman Jr., 88, Glasgow
Fidel “Jack” Chapman Jr., 88, of Glasgow died Monday, April 10, 2023, at NHC health care center. He was a son of the late Fidel and Jessie Estes Chapman. He was a member, deacon and trustee of Dover Baptist Church in Haywood. He was a retired farmer and a U.S. Army veteran.
He is survived by two children, Steve Chapman (Darlene) and Debbie Wood (Tommy); 10 grandchildren, Jeff Chapman (Lori), Staci Greer (Brandon), Lauren Hensley (Blake), Billy Thomason (Courtney), Ben Wood, Bradley Wood (Jennifer), Lisa Thomason (Charlie), Brandon Wood (Lynsey), Blake Wood (Fahrie) and Cora Clifford (Nathaniel); 17 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Geraldine Denison and Wanda Hanking.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Frances Marie Glass Chapman; one granddaughter, Stephanie Chapman; his son-in-law, Joey Thomason; and two brothers-in-law, Damon Denison and James Hanking.
Funeral is at 2 p.m. Friday, April 21, 2023, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday and after 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Margaret Ann Estes Coomer, 71, Glasgow died Saturday, April 15, 2023, at her residence. A native of Barren County, she was a daughter of the late Roma and Mary Elizabeth Pedigo Estes. She was a retired case handler at Dollar General Stores and a member of Salem Baptist Church.
Survivors include one son, Chad Coomer of Glasgow; one grandson, Maddox Coomer of Glasgow; one brother, Roma Estes Jr. (Teresa) of Cave City; one sister, Ella Logsdon (Jay) of Cave City; special friends, Donnie Gibson, Steve and Peggy Hannah, and Penny Reid; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Franklin Delano Estes and David Bryant Estes.
Funeral service is at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 20, 2023, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial in Cave City Cemetery. Visitation begins at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
