More than 13,000 students from across the commonwealth competed at the 2023 Student Technology Leadership Program State Championships at RUPP Arena in Lexington on Wednesday.
Barren County Schools was represented with more than 100 students competing in various events.
Showcase Projects, where students present a project to a panel of judges, are the largest competition area in the STLP program. This competition begins at the regional level, and students must score high
enough at regions to advance to the State STLP Championships. Showcase Projects are judged at state,
and the top 2 percent move on to Level 3 – “Jousting.” Barren County had three schools advance to the Level 3 finalist portion.
