Last week when 39-year-old small business owner Tyler Bryant died in a semi-tractor trailer crash, the community mourned.  Bryant, a native of Barren County, husband and father to two young children, was known for his broad smile, work ethic and generosity to all who knew him, according to his brother, Kenton Bryant.

Tyler was an Army veteran who was known locally as Mr. Appliance.  He had the reputation of being able to “fix anything.”

“Tyler was the epitome of a brother.  One of the first people you call when things are going great, and the first person you call when you need help. Tyler was a fixer and it is evident because of all the people’s lives he touched through Mr. Appliance. He had great pride in being a person everyone could count on,” Kenton said.

Kenton decided to start a Go Fund Me via his Facebook page to help his niece and nephew.

“We found out how many people truly care about Tyler and his family, and the rest of us. At this moment we’ve raised over $27,000 for his children, Ramsey and Sutton.  The money will be handed over to their mother, Celesta, with instructions to wisely invest every penny and for it to be given to the children in their 20s,” Kenton said.

Those interested in donating to the fund can find it on Facebook titled “Tyler Bryant children fund.”

“We are overwhelmed by the love and generosity we have received from our friends, family and community,” he added.

Kenton says that for all of the many good ways his brother Tyler will be remembered, the way he’d most want to be recalled is as a father.

“Tyler took great pride in being the father of those two children. He would want people to remember him as a great Dad,” Kenton said.
