Edna Ferguson, 76, Knob Lick

Edna Ferguson

Mary Edna Calhoun Ferguson, 76, of Knob Lick died Friday, May 5, 2023, at NHC in Glasgow.
Born April 27, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Elmer and Callie Sexton Calhoun.
She is survived by one sister, Mildred Jessie, and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Randall Ferguson; two sisters, Nina Calhoun Bushong and Violet Calhoun; and five brothers, Audrey Calhoun, Dallas Calhoun, Floyd “Charlie” Calhoun, Donald “Pie” Calhoun and Raymond Calhoun.
Funeral is at 11 a.m. Monday, May 8, 2023, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial in Buck Hill Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Brittany Nichole Jewell, 29, of Cave City died Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. Brittany was born in Paducah on Sept. 5, 1993, a daughter of Harry Michael Jewell and Juanita Kay Forsyth. Brittany was a stay-at-home mother who enjoyed music, photography and raising her children.
She is survived by her parents, Harry Michael Jewell of Elizabethtown and Juanita Kay Foresight of Vincennes, Indiana; her children, Emma Humphrey and Alex, Marybeth and Ryder Doyle; her grandfather, James Adams; five brothers, Richard Jewell and wife Tesla, Matt Jewell, Mark Wheeler and Zachary Jewell, all of Paducah, and her twin brother, Bryan Neal Jewell and wife April of Lawrenceville, Illinois. Her companion, Michael Doyle of Cave City, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles also survive.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Janice Adams and James and Novella Jewell; and one son, Carter Oliver Doyle.
Funeral service is at 2 p.m. on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel, with burial in Campground Cemetery. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral expense fund.

Josephine Richardson

Josephine Richardson, 83, of Hardyville died Thursday, May 4, 2023, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.
Born Feb. 3, 1940, she was a native of Hart County and a member of Hardyville Union Church. She and her husband, Gerald Richardson, were owners of Richardson Implement Co. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who loved spending time with her family.
She is preceded in death by her husband; her parents, Jimmy and Vivian Lisenby; and one brother, James David Lisenby.
She is survived by her son, Rodney Richardson; two daughters, Sonya Carter (Greg) and Tonda Greenwood (Mark); six grandchildren, Nathan Greenwood (Kathryn), Jennifer Huffines (Taylor), Whitney King (Bradley), Noah Carter, Jonah Carter (Maddie) and Luke Carter; seven great-grandchildren, Evelyn, Amelia, and Henry Huffines, Lilly and Annie Greenwood, and James and Vivian King.
Funeral service is at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 7, 2023, at Winn Funeral Home, with burial in Cosby Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
