Vivian Audrey Age, 98, of Cave City died Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at NHC HealthCare in Glasgow. The Edmonson County native was born July 22, 1924, to the late Veachel and Alice Martin Logsdon. She was married to the late Leslie Age.
Vivian retired after working for many years at Seimens and was a member at Rolling Hills United Baptist Church. She always had such a loving nature and would greet those she loved with a friendly smile and warm hug.
She leaves to honor her memory her children, Gloria Oldham of Ocala, Florida, Bonnie Franklin (Bill) of Phoenix, Arizona, and Betty Ralph of Conroe, Texas; 10 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Jeanne Carman (Mike) of Chalybeate; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins whom she adored.
Besides her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her children, Billy Ralph, Patty Greggs, Janice Stevenson and Diana Cowart; grandchildren, Randy Oldham and Shelley Cowart; and siblings, Louise Clines, Naomi, Ruth, Jr., Franklin and Joe Logsdon.
Funeral is at 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at Patton Funeral Cave City Chapel, with interment in Lambert Cemetery. Visitation is from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday and 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Margaret Ann Hatcher, 82, of Cave City died surrounded by her family Thursday, June 1, 2023, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. The Horse Cave native was born Nov. 26, 1940, to the late Edward and Margaret Hamilton Sanders. She was married to Maxie Hatcher, who survives.
Margaret Ann had many talents in life. She worked as a licensed practical nurse in her younger years. She was a professional seamstress and made many things, including costumes for the Louisville Ballet and the Actors Theatre of Louisville. You may have been lucky enough to receive banjo lessons from her, also. Her most recent enjoyment came from volunteering with the Pathfinders Food Pantry. Though she was involved in many things throughout her life, her most cherished titles were being wife, mother and grandma to her family. She attended Highland United Methodist Church.
Besides her husband, Maxie, she leaves to honor her memory her children, Bill Thomas (Rachel) of Louisville and Gina LaVon (Gary) of Liberty Township, Ohio; grandchildren, Jacob LaVon, Caitlin Ballow (Kyle), Alyssa Hilvers (Andrew), Morgan Thomas, Liz Thomas and Nolan Johnson; stepchildren, Eric Shawn Hatcher (Tina) and Candice Sue Joines (Randy); and stepgrandchildren, Brandi Langdon (Jimmy), Jessie, Jackie and Jamie Hatcher, and Tanna Gary. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Robert Sanders.
A celebration of life is at noon Saturday, July 1, 2023, at Patton Funeral Home Cave City Chapel. Visitation is from 10:30 a.m. to noon July 1 at the funeral home.

Robert Dean “Bob” Hughes died peacefully Thursday, June 1, 2023.
He was born in Sioux City, Iowa, on June 27, 1943, to the late Maxwell Dean Hughes and Erna Dirks Hughes. Bob grew up in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa, where he was valedictorian of his high school graduating class. He attended the University of Iowa before enlisting in the U.S. Air Force. Bob later attended Western Kentucky University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting.
Bob worked in accounting for a variety of manufacturing companies including Vanguard Labs and Belden Wire & Cable. and he retired from Kapstone Paper & Packaging.
Bob loved to sing and was gifted with a beautiful voice. He used his gift to bring joy to the surrounding community through the Caveman Barbershop Chorus, of which he was a member for more than 40 years. He loved to watch sports and was an avid fan of basketball, most notably University of Kentucky basketball. Bob worshiped at First Presbyterian Church of Glasgow where he served as an elder and led the hymns for the congregation. Bob loved and cherished spending time with his family.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 54 years; Patty Ann Hughes of Glasgow; two daughters, Sondra Norman (Randy) of Dixon and Kelly Hogue (Aaron) of Nicholasville; one son, Stephen Hughes (Mindy) of Glasgow; one sister, Bonnie Rosa of Brick, New Jersey; nine grandchildren, Brandy Dayekh, Brandon Lewis, Dylan Veach, Clay Hogue, Jenna Hogue, Kate Hogue, Susanna Hogue, Max Hughes and Ann Hughes; eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service is at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 8, 2023, at First Presbyterian Church in Glasgow, with interment at 1:30 p.m. at Marrowbone Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday at the church.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.
The family would like expressions of sympathy to be sent to First Presbyterian Church of Glasgow – Memorial Fund or the Shanti Niketan Hospice Home.
