PRESS RELEASE

Tyler Hensley, Austin Tracy Elementary Teacher, has been recognized by National Beta as the Junior Beta Club Sponsor of the Year.

Mr. Hensley received his award at the National Beta Conference in Louisville earlier this month.

As a student, Tyler was active in Beta throughout his school years, participating in both Junior and Senior Beta Conventions. His experiences made such an impact on him that he readily became a club sponsor when he began his teaching career.

He has been a Beta Club sponsor for five years and will take on the role of Kentucky Junior Sponsor in the upcoming school year.

As KY State Sponsor, he will coordinate and plan the state convention in January.

Tyler will also work closely with current state officers and school sponsors to help them showcase the many talents that Beta offers.

Hensley commented, “Beta is more than a club; it’s a way of life. The four pillars, service, leadership, character, and achievement, are principles everyone should live by. This organization has created so many positive experiences for not only myself but for my students as well.”

“Mr. Hensley pours his heart into everything he does. He is truly deserving of this honor,” said Lee Johnson, Austin Tracy Principal.
