Jesse James Craine

Jesse James Craine
Jesse James Craine, 37, died Friday, June 30, 2023, in Bowling Green. Jesse was born in Glasgow on Nov. 10, 1985, to the late Silas “J.R.” Craine and Shirley Kaye Dial Craine who survives.
Jesse had a gift for poetry and music and his love of music was guided at a young age by his late uncle, Ronnie Lee Dial, who taught him how to play guitar and to use music to express yourself in ways that you otherwise could not. Jesse had the ability to write music in a way most people dreamed of and poured his heart and soul into the words that he wrote. Jesse enjoyed recording music, creating podcasts, and he especially loved performing live; whether it was for two people or two hundred, it did not matter to Jesse. The only thing that mattered was that he was singing and sharing his music with the world.
Jesse is survived by the light of his life, his son, Stayley “Bug” James Craine, to whom he tried greatly to pass on his love for music and his ability to show empathy and understanding; his mother, Shirley Dial Craine; his older brothers, Shannon Craine of Cave City and Silas Craine of Bowling Green; sister, Bobbie Jo Pedigo (Kevin) of Glasgow and a host special cousins, nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and friends.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Silas Richard Craine Sr. and Velma Dennis Craine; maternal grandparents, Denver “Buster” Dial and Alma Staples Dial; aunts, Linda Dial Mouldon, Frankie Craine Gossett.and Beulah Craine Brown; and uncles, Ronnie and Tony Dial, Lee Mouldon and Jesse and Michael Craine.
A celebration of Jesse’s life is from noon to 2 p.m. Monday, July 3, 2023, at Bob Hunt Funeral Chapel in Cave City, with cremation to follow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Room at the Inn, in memory of Jesse.
A singer/songwriter night in honor of Jesse begins at 6 p.m. Thursday at The Roxglass Bar/Music Venue at 107 Broadway St. in Cave City to help with funeral expenses and to enjoy what Jesse loved most: live music, family and friends.
