The City of Cave City Council meeting is scheduled to meet at 5 p.m. today, July 10 at Cave City Hall.

According to the agenda the meeting will begin with talks on finances such as restaurant and hotel tax collection for the city, as well as the cash analysis for the fire and police departments for June.

The most impactful business will be the second reading for the 2024 budget, which will most likely be passed as the council is pass due by almost a week, leaving the city operating on the 2023 budget.

The Barren River Area Development District (BRADD) is also present on the agenda, with discussions from previous meetings pointing to a possible partnership wherein BRADD would assist Cave City in writing and receiving grants.

Other matters will consist of a garbage pick-up cost increase for Cave City residents, to keep up with rising landfill prices.

At this time, tonight’s agenda is not available on-line.
