Bettie Jean Bray, 87, of Glasgow died Saturday, July 15, 2023, in Glasgow. She was born Jan. 27, 1936, in Glasgow to the late Ollis Owens Spann and Mary Ethel Spann (Bunch). Bettie is a faithful member of Pleasant Point Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Junior Bray (Pam); daughter, Tinker Bray (Melinda); grandchildren, Courtney McCulloch (Ben) and Tyler Bray; and great-grandchildren, Tyleigh Bray, Jack McCulloch and Nolan McCulloch.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Sam Spann and Junior Spann; one sister, Joan Wilson; and a daughter, Regina Faye Bray.
Funeral service is at 3 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in the Big Meadow Cemetery in Glasgow. Visitation is from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Michael “Mike” Ray Hammer Sr., 70, of Glasgow died Friday, July 14, 2023, in Louisville. He was born March 31, 1953, in Glasgow to the late Royce Dicken Hammer and Ruby Nell Hammer (Brown). Mike was an extremely hard worker and had a great love for motorcycles.
Survivors include a daughter, Shelly Kirby (Brian); son, Justin Hammer (Ruby Waters); daughter, Alyssa Cox (Travis); son, Buddy Hammer; daughter, Jenny Hammer; six grandchildren, Elijah Kirby, Shanna Kirby, Nicholas Kirby, Bentley Miller, Harley Miller and Raelynn Jean Hammer; sister, Shirley Tate; brother, David Hammer; and lifelong friend, Doug Houchens.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Hammer, and his sister, Sarah Soards.
Funeral service is at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Poplar Log Cemetery in Tompkinsville. Visitation is from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and on Wednesday morning until time for the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in contribution to funeral expenses.

Rodney Lee Meadows Sr., 66, of Glasgow died Monday, July 17, 2023, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. Born July 5, 1957, he was a son of the late William Kenneth Meadows and Edna Agers Meadows.
He is survived by two sons, Rodney Lee Meadows Jr. (Amanda) and Joseph Meadows; one granddaughter, Emilee Meadows; two brothers, Dale Meadows (Anna) and Steve Meadows (Janie); two sisters, Shelia Wood and Cathy Hawkins; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Makayla Meadows.
Funeral is at 5 p.m., Thursday, July 20, 2023, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 to 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the funeral home to help the family with expenses.

Rose “Granny” Mills
Rose “Granny” Mills, 75, of Horse Cave died Thursday, July 13, 2023, at her home. Born Aug. 5, 1947, she was a native of Barren County and a factory worker for several years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and Granny Rose.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Rose; two grandsons, Cody Jerome Wilson and Baby D. Nuckols; and one son-in-law, Richard Jerome Wilson.
She is survived by four daughters, Susie Wilson, Joyce Rice (Reecie), Fran Renick and Edie Renick; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
At request of the family, all services will be private. Cremation will follow. Winn Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Wanda Kay Smith, 70, of Glasgow died Sunday, July 16, 2023, at her residence. She was born April 27, 1953, to the late Benjamin and Christine Wright Patrick. She was a homemaker who had a great sense of humor and a love for shopping. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cherished the time she was able to spend in caring for her granddaughter Brittany.
Survivors include her daughter, Stacy Myers (Phillip); three grandchildren, Brittany Myers, Corey Myers and Katlyn Myers (Dillion Busey); four great-grandchildren, Nollan Grey Busey, Kayson Ray Busey, and Matthew and Rosie Myers; two brothers, William Patrick and Daryl Patrick (Marla); three sisters, Anna Francis Houchens (Billy), Janie McCorkle (David) and Marcella Frazier; a special nephew, David Patrick (Becky); special cousins, Louise Houchens (Eugene) and Charles Patrick; and several other nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her former husband, Billy Ray Smith; a son, Billy Ray Smith Jr.; a sister, Doris Ann Patrick; and her parents-in-law, Delsie and Arthur Smith.
Funeral service is at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 22, 2023, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial in Mount Olivet Cemetery. Visitation begins at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
