After a dedicated multi-year effort to establish a battery operation at 120 Donnelly Drive, Contemporary Amperex Technology Kentucky, LLC (CATK) officials have informed the Barren County Economic Authority (BCEA) of their decision to place the property on the market for sale.
CATK acquired the property in December 2020, and it has been nearly three years since the acquisition. Throughout this period, the community and the economic development team have steadfastly supported CATK, remaining hopeful that the project would come to fruition as originally planned.
“While we are disappointed that the initial project won’t proceed,” stated Maureen Carpenter, President & CEO of the Barren County Economic Authority, “we eagerly anticipate collaborating with CATK and their local realtor group to identify a new project for the facility that will generate fresh investments and job opportunities for our region.”
The property will be listed with Coldwell Banker Commercial Legacy Group.
