David Michael Jones Jr.

David Michael Jones Jr., 48, of Glasgow died Monday, Aug. 21, 2023, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. He was a son of the late David Michael Jones Sr. and Rebecca Jane Ballard Jones.
He is survived by his wife, Robin Jones; three children, Chance Jones, Cassidey Jones (Andrew Corbin) and Drake Jones; three stepchildren, Josh Bell, Zach Jessie (Kayla) and Dakota Jessie (Logan); nine grandchildren; one sister, Regina Honeycutt (Tony); and one half-sister, Loretta Pedigo (Derek).
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Robert Bell.
Funeral is at 2 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, 2023, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial in Happy Valley Memorial Gardens. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Cary Grant Lemons, 61, of Glasgow died.Sunday, Aug. 20, 2023, at his residence. He was the son of the late Cleo and Brenda Pulliam Lemons. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his dogs; they brought so much joy to his life.
He is survived by two sons, Joseph Toppe and Eric Lemons; two daughters, Brittany and Heather Lemons; five grandchildren: Kenzie Spears, Harmony Toppe, Rowlan Toppe, Arwen Toppe and Landyn Hagan.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a grandson, Tristan Lemons.
The family has chosen cremation with no service at this time. Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.

Nettie Neal

Nettie Beatrice Neal, 88, of Glasgow died Sunday, Aug. 20, 2023, at her home. The Barren County native was born Jan. 6, 1935, to the late Edgar Stephenson and the late Nettie Mae Bowles Stephenson.
Mrs. Neal was a homemaker and also worked several years at KenDec. She was a member of Glasgow Faith Church; she so loved her church family and faithfully attended until her health no longer allowed. She enjoyed listening to gospel music as well as quilting and crocheting gifts for family and friends. Sundays and holidays were special to her as she prepared meals for the family so they all could be together.
Her survivors include her four children, Loretta Minyard (Johnny), Sheryl Bailey (Greg), Darlene Vincent (Joe) and Eddie Neal (Angela); one sister, Barbara Ward; one sister-in-law, Phyllis Stephenson; eight grandchildren, Angie Ponce, Carmon Adwell (Josh), Chad Vincent (Andrea), Eli Neal (Martha), Clinton Neal, Kelsi Antunes (Flavio), Cory Bailey and Justin Bailey (Mindy); 16 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; Eric Landrum, whom she loved as a grandchild; a very special friend and caregiver, Barbara Shaw; and several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, H. Thomas Neal; a son, Donald Neal; one granddaughter, Lindsay Franklin; one great-granddaughter, Kristen Rae Edwards; two sisters: Lillian Burris and Francis England; and three brothers: James, Robert and Charles Stephenson.
Funeral service is at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial in Big Meadow Cemetery. Visitation begins at 5 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Sylvia Sandefur

Sylvia Sandefur

Sylvia Boston Sandefur, 77, of Glasgow died Monday, Aug. 21, 2023, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. The Barren County native was born on July 31, 1946, to the late Payne and Ora Stephens Boston. She was married to Sam Sandefur, who also preceded her in death.
Sylvia was a member of Park City Baptist Church and a member of Barren County Homemakers. She was a former manager at Helig-Meyers and a farmer, and she attended Temple Hill School.
She leaves to honor her memory her sons, Burl Scott Jr. (Valerie), Chris Scott (Jeanine) and Scotty Scott (Suzie), all of Glasgow, and Chris Sandefur of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Jason Scott, Jake Scott, Zack Scott, Anna Marie Vincent, Jesse Scott, Christina Scott, Crystal Scott, Aimee Scott and Abbie Scott; siblings, Shelvy Boston (Becky), Eugene Boston (Glenda), Kay Turner (Hughie), Kyle Boston (Kathy), Eddie Boston (Christy) and Timmy Boston, who was also her caregiver; six great-grandchildren; and beloved nieces and nephews.
Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Joshua Logan Scott.
Funeral service is at 10 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023, at Patton Funeral Home Park City Chapel, with interment in Walnut Hill Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday and 9 to 10.a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
