Gary Cash

Gary Wayne Cash, 62, of Glasgow died Friday Aug. 25, 2023, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. Gary was born Aug. 12, 1961, to the late John Henry Cash and Alma (Houchens) Cash, eho survives.
Other survivors include his brother, Randall Cash (Frances); sisters, Linda Elmore (Paul David) and Diane Capps (Gary); nieces, Stacy Poore, Amanda Crews, Sherry Bragg, Ashley Kidwell, Miranda Jones and Jennie Brown; special friend, Anna Gilbert; a fur baby, Cheeko the Cat; and several great-nieces and -nephews.
In addition to his father, he is preceded in death by his brother, Johnny Cash; sister, Brenda Bragg; and great-niece, Kaitlin Ferguson.
Funeral service is at 11 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 31, 2023, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with burial in Shiloh Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and on Thursday until time for the service at the funeral home.

Christopher Hall, 39, of Glasgow died Thursday, Aug. 24, 2023, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Essie Hall, and brother, Antwyan Nuckols.
He is survived by his mother, Gladys Sublett, and stepfather, Calvin Sublett; daughters, Crislynn Hall, Addalynn Hall and Hailynn Hall; the mother of his three daughters, Kessler Hall; brothers, Jalen Sublett (Melinda) and Antonio Nuckols; sisters, Sonya Nuckols and Pamela Chesire; aunts, Necia Driver and Demetria Nuckols; uncle, William Rice; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral service is at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2023, at Owens Chapel Baptist Church, with burial in Horse Cave Cemetery. The Rev. Fred Paul is the officiant. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Hayes Brothers Funeral Home in Glasgow is entrusted with arrangements.

William Eugene “Bill” Houchens, 65, of Glasgow died Friday, Aug. 25, 2023, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. He was a son of the late William Burchfield Houchens and Helen Marie Lemons Houchens.
He is survived by his wife, Deeanna Byrd Houchens; two daughters, Marquitta Lessenberry (Jeremy) and Ashley Houchens; four grandchildren, Dalton Gravens (Andrea), Breanna Brown, Bryer Brown and Boss Lessenberry; one great-grandson, Walker Gravens; one brother, Tony Houchens (Belinda); two sisters, Bonnie Young (Marty) and Elizabeth Sawyer (John); one aunt, Jeannie Bratcher (Jerry); and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Debbie Houchens, and one grandson, Ty Lessenberry.
Funeral is at 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 28, 2023, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with cremation to follow. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Nolan Ray Shirley of Glasgow died Saturday, Aug. 26, 2023. He was born Dec. 5, 1942. He retired from SKF after more than 35 years of service.
He is survived by his son, Kevin Shirley; daughter, Sherry Jones (Steve); and daughter, Tammy Pruitt (Todd). He had eight grandchildren, Erica Ecken, Justin Crenshaw, Ethan Jones, Autumn Shirley, Ashley Crenshaw, Amber Shirley, Jacob Crenshaw and Natalie Jones.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Paulette Hurt Shirley, and a daughter-in-law, Beth Shirley.
While he will be terribly missed, his family is comforted by the fact that he is free from the constraints of this world and the assurance of a future reunification.
Funeral service is at noon Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2023, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral, with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation begins for family at 2 p.m. and others at 3 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
