Glasgow Police Department honors two academy graduates

The Glasgow Police Department congratulated Lt. Steven Fields and Det. Jewelie Robinson for completing the five week Kentucky Criminalistics Academy Aug. 25 in Richmond, Ky. at the Department of Criminal Justice Training.

Lt. Steven Fields has been a member of the Glasgow Police department for a decade, and in his time at GPD he attended numerous trainings and received numerous merits for outstanding conduct including but not limited to, two lifesavers awards. Lt. Fields is a certified collision reconstructionist, a Kentucky Law enforcement council certified instructor, firearms instructor, driving instructor, police training officer, and taser instructor among many other certifications. Lt. fields is also a member of the Glasgow Police Department Honor Guard.

Det. Robinson described herself as a “forever goth kid from Covington, Ky.” Robinson graduated from the Department of Criminal Justice Training in 2016, and has worker with GPD since 2020. She recently graduated from the Kentucky Criminalistics Academy Phase 1, which certified her to be a Crime Scene Technician. She plans to complete Phase 2 in 2024. She emphasized that her ambition to learn more in her field drives her to continue a career in criminal justice and she plans on taking her education further.
