David Murrell Dilley
David Murrell Dilley, 72, of Glasgow died Monday, Aug. 21, 2023, at his residence. He is the son of the late Henry Leon and Mildred Smith Dilley. David retired from the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam and Operation Desert Storm. David loved his country and his family dearly. He was proud to have served his country.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah Dellis Dilley; one son, Jamey Dilley; one daughter, Trina Dilley; two stepsons, Kenneth and Jerrod Vanover; eight grandchildren, Kolby Lee, Connor and Chase Bernhardt, Macey, Kaiden and Gracey Dilley, Lisa and Jackson Vanover; three brothers, Freddie Dilley (Phyllis), Danny Dilley (Carole) and Johnny Dilley (Barbara); one brother-in-law, Jim Dellis (Darla); one sister-in-law Sarah Haglund (Marty); and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his first wife, Shirley Cross Dilley, and one brother, Jerry Dilley.
Funeral service is at 10 a.m, Saturday, Sept. 16, 2023, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial and military honors provided by Disabled American Veterans Chapter 20 in Lick Branch Cemetery. Visitation begins at 4 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

William Carroll Hare, 80, of Glasgow died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. He was a son of the late Horace and Zelma Morgan Hare. He was a retired industrial engineer for Mallory Capacitor, a veteran of Kentucky Army National Guard. He was a avid University of Kentucky fan and a lover of all sports. He loved his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchild very much.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Turner Hare; two daughters, Candi Howard (Brian) and Lisa Robertson (Troy); 11 grandchildren, Stephen Howard, Blake Howard, Kaylie Goad (Colin), Noah Howard, Will Robertson, Gracie Robertson, Truett Robertson, Destiny, Henry, Harmonie and Graceson; one great-grandson, Cason Goad; three sisters, Lillian Broady, Linda Ford (Jim) and Gina Circle; one sister-in-law, Connie Hare; and several nieces and nephews..
Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Scott Hare; one brother: Larry Hare; two brothers-in-law, Mike Broady and Mack Circle.
Funeral is at 1 p.m Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2023, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial in Marrowbone Cemetery. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday and continues after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Timothy W. Shipley, 62, of Glasgow died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023, at his residence surrounded by family. He was born on Sept. 7, 1961, to the late Carroll Clifton Shipley and the late Charlotte Britt Tibbs. He was a Navy veteran. He was a member of the Baptist faith.
Tim is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Shipley; sons, Wesley Andrew Shipley (Chasity), Matthew Tyler Shipley (Lindsay) and Jared Dylan Houchens (Cortney); brother, Robert Tibbs (Lisa); grandchildren, Scarlett, Lily, Roman, Nolan; and several nieces, nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Sarah Beth Houchens, and stepfather, Roger Tibbs.
Funeral service is at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 12, 2023, at A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home, with cremation to follow. Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Marvin Rondal Shockley
Marvin Rondal Shockley, 91, of Glasgow died Thursday, Sept. 7, 2023, at his residence. He was born April 21, 1932, in Wisdom to the late Edgar Shockley and Mammie Coffey Shockley. Marvin was a lifelong farmer and raised beef cattle. He loved tractors and old cars, and everyone who knew him loved him. He never met a stranger and was a devoted member of Union No. 2 Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include his son, Eddie Shockley (Pam); one sister, Ruth; nine grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Nell Katherine Shockley; two sons, Dralin Shockley and Steve Shockley; his siblings, Sylvia, Jewell, Lucille, Geneva and Jenette and two infant siblings, Jon William and Eula.
Funeral service is at noon Monday, Sept. 11, 2023, at Union No. 2 Missionary Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at A. F. Crow & Son Funeral Home and 9 a.m. to noon Monday at the church.
