SCRTC’s Annual Meeting was held at the Cave Area Conference Center Thursday night, October 19th. Entertainment was provided by Kentucky Just Us during the registration process.
The results of the mail ballot trustee election were announced.
In District I (Munfordville & Bonnieville Exchanges) candidates were Incumbent Ralph Thompson and Bill Gardner with Thompson receiving 460 votes and Gardner receiving 448 votes.
Incumbent Director Ralph Thompson was declared re-elected in District I.
In District III (Hiseville & Cave City) candidates were Incumbent Director Jerry Polson, Vicki Monroe and Tim Coomer with Polson receiving 243 votes, Monroe receiving 141 votes, and Coomer receiving 283 votes. Tim Coomer was declared elected in District III.
During the Business Session the Cooperative’s Secretary-Treasurer, Ralph Thompson reported on the Cooperative’s positive financial status.
The Cooperative’s General Manager Jeff Eaton reported on fiber to the home construction and the launch of the Cooperative’s new
streaming service, “My Stream TV”.
President Zack Kender announced that $2 million in capital credits will be refunded this year.
Following the Business Meeting, drawings were held for two grand prizes of 43-Inch Amazon Fire TV’s which were won by Daniel Harper and Jimmy McCubbin with a $100 Wal-Mart Gift Card going to Kenneth Choate and a $100 cash prize going to Herman Key. Cash prizes were also drawn in each exchange, along with several children’s prizes given away which included two small riding toys, two bicycles, two Chromebooks and two Raycon Wireless Earbuds. Congratulations to all winners.
At the Board’s Annual Re-Organizational Meeting Zack Kender was elected as President,
Ronnie R. Tucker was elected as Vice President, Ralph J. Thompson elected as Secretary-Treasurer, and Anthony Wells was elected as Assistant Secretary-Treasurer.
