Glaswegians win at the National Garden Club Flower Show

The Glasgow Garden Club participated in National Garden Club Flower Show “Celebrate Festive Design”, presented by Cardinal Council in Bowling Green.

According to Glenda Eaton of the Glasgow Garden Club, it was an eventful day for Glasgow with Member and President Sonja Woodcock getting top awards. “She received the ‘Table Artistry Award’, for which she received a blue ribbon for her design. She also received the Cardinal Council ‘Novice Award’ which is a traveling silver bowl given to someone that has never received a blue ribbon before,” Eaton said.

Glasgow’s Garden Club President Sonja Woodcock was the recipient of the traveling silver bowl at the National Garden Club Flower Show.

Woodcock was also the winner of the Ruth Rabold Award.

Other Glasgow winners were:
Glenda Eaton/ 3rd place for her “Kwanza” design, Jeff Strong/ Honorable Mention for his “Kwanza “ design. Ledean Hamilton/ 3rd place for her “St. Patrick’s Day “ design. Andrea Garrett/ Honorable Mention in “St. Patrick’s Day” design, Cherie Vaughan/ Honorable Mention for her “Presidents’ Day” petite design and Mary Beth Glanz/ Honorable Mention for her “ Halloween Design.
