Artwork created by Barren County students is on display in the Wedge Education Gallery at the Southern Kentucky Performing Arts Center in Bowling Green.

The exhibition includes 150 works created by Barren County middle and high school students. Students selected pieces they created during the first quarter of the school year to include in the display, which can be viewed throughout the month of November during SKyPAC performances and Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

“Creating opportunities to showcase our talented BCMS artists is one of the highlights of my job! I am so excited to share their work with SKyPAC audiences and members of our regional community,” commented Sarah Vetter, Barren County Middle School Art Teacher.

Barren County High School Art Teacher Lauren Simmons added, “BCHS art is grateful for the opportunity to display work at the SKyPAC. BCHS works on display are from the Visual Arts II class and include a variety of media and subject matter. Special thanks to Mrs. Sarah Vetter for scheduling the gallery for our BC art students.”

Barren County Schools Superintendent Bo Matthews commented, “This is a wonderful opportunity to display the skill and talent of our students, and it also reflects the dedication and hard work of BC Art Instructors Sarah Vetter and Lauren Simmons. The arts are thriving in our district, and we are thankful for the opportunity to have the broader community view their work.”
