Glasgow Board of Education to discuss numerous items at Monday’s meeting

The Glasgow Independent Schools Board of Education with its five members and Superintendent Chad Muhlenkamp is scheduled to descend on Glasgow High School at 6:30 p.m. for their monthly school board meeting. During the meeting the board members and Muhlenkamp are scheduled to discuss and approve a variety of items in the relatively short agenda. Currently, this is the last Board of Education meeting before the district breaks for the 14 day Christmas Break.

The meeting, set for Monday, Dec. 11, has an agenda split into five categories including communication, operation actions and a student services action portion.

According to the agenda the student services portion has the most items with 9 topics listed. In that section there is the approval of a change order to the new South Green Elementary construction project and approval of a partnership with StuderEducation, a “trusted adviser in improving education through evidence-based practices.”

IV. STUDENT SERVICES ACTIONS
IV.C. Approve the 2024 calendar of regular board meeting dates, locations and agenda deadline dates.
IV.D. Appoint Board member to 2024/2025 Calendar Committee.
IV.E. Approve to advertise for bids for district mowing and landscaping service for 2024/2025.
IV.F. Accept Donation to HES in the Amount of $500.
IV.G. Accept Donation to GHS Swim Team in the Amount of $500.
IV.H. Accept Donation to SGE in the Amount of $1,500.
IV.I. Declare GMS Band Instruments as Surplus Property.
