On Thursday, December 14, 2023 at approximately 5:45 pm, the Kentucky State Police, Post 3 in Bowling Green, was notified of a multiple vehicle collision near the 59 mile marker of I-65 in Hart County.

The initial investigation indicates that two commercial tractor-trailers were traveling northbound on I-65 in parallel lanes, when the two made minor contact in a side swipe motion.

Travis R. Kentucky State Police located a total of six vehicles that were involved in the collision that resulted in Dallas Woodard being pronounced deceased by the Hart County Coroner at the scene of the collision.  Kiarra Padilla, 21, of Battletown, KY, was flown to the University of Louisville Hospital and two other operators were transported by EMS to TJ Samson Hospital for treatment of injuries sustained.

Travis R. Williams was arrested and charged with Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree and has been lodged in the Hart County Jail.

The investigation is being led by Detective Michael Waggener.  He was assisted on the scene by Hart County EMS, Hart County Coroner, Air Evac, Kentucky Department of Transportation and KSP Personnel.
