Man attempts to flee police, arrested in downtown Glasgow

Tuesday afternoon, the Glasgow Police Department arrested James Hicks after he allegedly left You Turn Court Monitoring Service in downtown Glasgow.

You Turn will not release information regarding why police were  called for Hicks’ arrest.

“The subject was fighting with police and more units were called for back-up,” said Major Terry Flatt, information officer for Glasgow police.

After being arrested on the Glasgow Public Square, Hicks was detained at the Barren County Detention Center with a $2,005 cash bond. He is charged with non-payment of court costs, fees, or fines, fleeing or evading police (2nd degree) on foot, and for resisting arrest.

His next court date is set for Jan. 11 at 12:30 p.m.
