T.J. Regional Health is pleased to welcome Sreekumar (“Kumar”) Subramanian, MD, a Cardiovascular Surgeon from TriStar Medical Group Cardiovascular Surgery, who is now seeing patients, and accepting new patient referrals, at the T.J. Health Pavilion at 310 N. L. Rogers Wells Boulevard in Glasgow.

Regional Health. “Our cardiology team often refers patients who may require surgery, and now those patients will be able to see the cardiovascular surgeon without having to travel. This is another way that we are creating better and
more convenient access to care for our patients.”
As a Cardiovascular Surgeon, Dr. Subramanian performs open and minimally invasive cardiac and thoracic aortic procedures. He treats patients for conditions such as acute myocardial infarction, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, infective endocarditis, cardiac tumors, cardiac arrhythmia and conduction disorders, cardiac congenital and heart valve disease, heart failure, transcatheter valve procedures, and thoracic aortic aneurysm repair.
Dr. Subramanian will see patients in Glasgow for consultations and appointments before or after surgery. Patients will go to TriStar Centennial Medical Center for any surgical procedures.

Dr. Subramanian, a native of Michigan and Pennsylvania, graduated with honors from Albany Medical College. He joined the U.S. Air Force and completed his general surgery internship, residency and a clinical research fellowship at David Grant Medical Center at Travis Air Force Base in California. Following completion of his general surgical training, he was stationed in Germany and was deployed to Liberia and Kazakhstan to serve as a combat trauma surgeon in Balad, Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Following military service, he completed a Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery fellowship at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation.
He has received advanced training in percutaneous and minimally invasive valve surgery and innovations. He was recruited to Tristar Centennial Medical Center in 2015 to build the minimally invasive mitral valve surgery program.
He has performed over 5,000 cardiovascular operations and authored or co-authored over 60 articles and abstracts in the scientific literature.
