Helen Benigni

Helen Eilene Benigni, 77, of Glasgow died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital. A native of Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Helen Clendening Reilly. She was a retired employee in the accounting department of Scott Paper Products. She was a member of Glasgow Cumberland Presbyterian Church and Barren County Homemakers.
Survivors include her husband Leo; two daughters, Diane Leary and Angela Wagoner; grandchildren, Aiden, Amory and Noelie Leary, Brandon Wagoner and Brittney Orellana; two brothers, Joseph Reilly and George Reilly; two sisters, Dorothy Shefts and Lynn Helck; and several nieces and nephews.
The family chose cremation. A memorial service is at 4 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 25, 2024, at Glasgow Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.

Charles Richard Buford Sr., 75, of Glasgow died in the comfort of his home surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024. He was born Aug. 27, 1948, in Scottsville to the late Virgil and Ruth Grooms Buford. He accepted Christ and was a member of Ole Rocky Hill Baptist Church in Glasgow.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Fostina R. Buford; two sons, Charles R. Buford Jr. (Renz) of Tucker, Georgia, and Bryan Buford (Jo Anna) of Glasgow; four grandchildren, Devante Buford, Tyler Buford, Steven Buford and Charles Buford III, plus bonus grandchild, Jaylen Stonerock; four great-grandchildren, Nala Buford, Indi Buford, Mazi Kingston Buford and Rilynn Stonerock; sisters, Linda Mae Buford of Glasgow and Connie Buford of Louisville; brothers, William E. Buford (Leda) of Louisville, Willie D. Buford (Betty) of Bowling Green and Clifton Buford of Louisville; sisters-in-law, Brenda Lewis (the Rev. Bradley Lewis) of Glasgow, Mary Lockett (Kenny) of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Markus Knighton (Frank) of Atlanta, Georgia; special nephew and niece whom he thought of as his children, Stephen Buford (Kisa) of Glasgow and Carla Buford of Lexington; a host of others, including nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, three brothers, Newgene Buford, David Buford and Nelson Buford, and two sisters, Carol Buford and Lorene Buford Wilburn, preceded him in death.
Funeral service is at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at Ole Rocky Hill Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery. Visitation is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Arrangements are entrusted to Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home.

Lois Rose Evans, 93, of Glasgow died Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024, at her residence. A native of Cumberland County, she was a daughter of the late George and Ethel Hardin Rose.
Lois retired from Douglas Aircraft, where she was responsible for printing and reproducing their top-secret documents. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star who loved sewing, quilting and gardening.
Survivors include three children, Patsy Turner, Deborah Turner Cooper (Robert) and John Robert Evans; seven grandchildren, Brian Lofthouse, Michael Lofthouse, Jeffrey Turner, Richard Turner, Mikel Turner, Kristi Evans and Jonathon Evans; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Larry D. Turner; a brother; and three sisters.
Funeral service is at 2 p.m. Monday at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation is from noon to 2 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Donitta Tyler, 59, of Glasgow died Jan. 19, 2024. She was born Aug. 17, 1964, in Glasgow to the late William “Red” Chapman and Edna Clark Chapman.
Donitta was the owner of Devil Woman Motorcycle Repair and former owner of Triple T Recovery of Glasgow.
She loved hosting and helping host benefits for St. Judes Children Hospital. Through these benefits she met and became friends with a lot of country music singers. Her favorite thing to do was to help provide Christmas presents for local children. She was very active in local toy drives and finding families that needed a little help. Her wish is that more people would help others.
She is survived by her husband of 27 years, John E. Tyler; two sons, Josh Payne (Jenn) and Jordan “Bugaloo” Tyler, both of Glasgow; two daughters, Jennifer Hendrickson (Russell) of Sebring, Florida, and Cheryl Crain (Chris) of Stoneville, North Carolina; three grandsons, Preston and Bentley Payne and Kaydon “Clyde” Crain; one granddaughter, Bryanna “Miss Priss” Wilborn; two brothers, Charles “Buck” Chapman (Penny) and Roy Chapman, both of Glasgow; two sisters, Mamie Flowers (Billy, whom she thought of as a brother) of Franklin and Kathy Carmicle of Glasgow; and several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by three sons, Jacob, Randy and Quinton; one daughter, Sammie; three grandsons, Zackary, Dylan and Jaxon Payne; one granddaughter, Cheyanne Payne; one brother, James Obie Chapman; one sister, Brenda Smith; and two best friends, Lynn VanMeter and Sallie Vincent.
Funeral service is at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2024, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
