The Barren County Sheriff’s Office issued a golden alert for 84-year-old Joseph Pierce on Thursday afternoon. He was later found, according to a press release from the sheriff’s office at 9:51 p.m. the same day.

The Barren County Sheriff’s Office has issued a golden alert for Joseph Pierce, an 84 year old male with dementia.
Pierce is 6’1″ weighing 205 pounds and has white hair and brown eyes. He was seen, as of 2 p.m. Jan. 25, “leaving [his] residence on South Fork Rd [with an] unknown direction of travel.”
He was driving a beige 2018 Honda Accord with a license plate that reads KY 4102-FH.
“If you spot the vehicle or Mr. Pierce, please notify our office or local law enforcement agency or call Barren-Metcalfe Emergency Communications Center at 270-651-1175,” the post reads.
