The Glasgow Independent School district is seeking public input on the 2024-2025 academic calendar.

This request comes before the Calendar Committee, chaired by Board of Education member Barret Lessenberry, is set to meet on Jan. 30 at 5:15 p.m.

“To help with our process, we are seeking your feedback for the creation of the 2024-2025 school calendar,” the district’s social media post states. The survey will be open until 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 30, 2024.”

The survey asks only four questions. The first asks the affiliation of the submitter, the second question gives three options for potential start dates for the 2024-2025 school year — early, middle or late August — the next asks if the submitter would be in favor of an “extended President’s Day break in February like the 2023-2024 school year” and the last asks the open-ended question allowing for additional recommendations.
