Bexley McGuire is a fifth-grader at Temple Hill Elementary School.  One of his favorite places to be is his grandfather’s farm.  Poppy, his grandfather, taught Bexley how to fish, drive the tractor, and operate a stick shift.  The farm is full of trails that are perfect for four-wheeling, which helps Bexley practice for MSXC four-wheeling competitions. Spending time on the farm is like being in an outdoor classroom with Poppy as the teacher.

Bexley’s favorite classes in school are math and social studies; he enjoys solving problems and learning about the earliest years of American history.  His favorite activity at school is playing dodgeball and football with his friends in PE class.  The Celtics are his favorite sports team, and he is a big fan of Larry Bird.  One of Bexley’s favorite memories is his trip to Montana.  He loved the wide-open spaces and the scenery and hopes to make another visit someday.  With his love of the outdoors, the farm, his friends, and his dog, Dee, Bexley is a wonderful reflection of the agricultural roots of Barren County!
