According to the Farmers RECC outage viewer hundreds of people east of the City of Glasgow are without power.
In the area comprised of Hollis Thomas Road, Lecta-Kino Road and some of Mt. Pisgah Road 216 people are without power as of Feb. 12 at 7:41 p.m. According to Caralyne Pennington, director of public communications at Farmers RECC, the outage was caused when a tree fell on a Phase 3 pole. She said power was restored to the area at roughly 1 a.m. on Feb. 13.
The outage area crossed the Louie B. Nunn Cumberland Pkwy., which caused the parkway to be temporarily closed as a cable fell across the roadway.
According to Glasgow Police Department Public Information Officer Terry Flatt the parkway was reopened as of 9:37 p.m.
Glasgow News 1 attempted to reach out to Farmers RECC but at the time of publication GN1 has not heard back. The story will be updated as more information becomes available.
