According to the Farmers RECC outage viewer there are now only four outages in Barren County. That translate to 0.01 percent of the 14,301 meters county-wide.

There is one outage reported near Lucas, one off Highway 1297 and two on Happy Valley Road, north of the Glasgow Municipal Airport. Crews have been assigned to all four outages.

“We would anticipate being wrapped up by lunch barring any complications,” Pennington said via text message.

The bouts of high winds and torrential rain left many people that get their electricity from Farmers RECC without power this morning.

According to Farmers RECC outage viewer roughly 355 are currently experiencing power outages with the largest portion being along Scottsville Road near the Lucas community.

Caralyne Pennington, director of public communications at Farmers RECC, said the timetable of repairs is currently unknown but she does not anticipate a multi-day restoration.

“Crews are still being assembled, dispatched and are working to diagnose the cause of each outage,” Pennington said. “Because of this we aren’t able to give an estimated restoration time at this point. We do not anticipate multi-day restoration effort at this point.”

Currently, according to Aaron Russell, communication director at GEPB, said there are no outages reported on their end.

This story is ongoing and will be updated as more information becomes available.
