Janice Chatfield, 80, of Brownsville died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024, at The Medical Center at Bowling Green. The Edmonson County native was born June 28, 1943, to the late Elrie and Bertha Salings Lindsey. She was married to her best friend, Rick Chatfield, who survives.
Janice was a member of Rocky Hill Missionary Baptist Church. She retired from Mallory Corp. Janice was a friend to all who met her.
Besides her loving husband, she leaves several nieces and nephews to honor her memory.
She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Dale and Joe Lindsey, Elaine Skaggs and Margie Browning.
Funeral service is at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Midway United Missionary Baptist Church. Visitation is from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday and 9 to 11 a.m. Saturday, all at the church.

Stephanie Ann Thompson Shirley, 46, died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2024. A native of Green County, she was born April 3, 1977, to Barbara Beard Thompson and the late Phillip Thompson.
Stephanie had a servant’s heart. She loved everybody she met and had never met a stranger. As a 1995 graduate of Glasgow High School, she began her lifelong path in nursing. As a nurse of nearly 30 years at NHC Healthcare, she cared for and left a lasting impact on countless people. She had a love for her family and friends that was unwavering. Stephanie enjoyed her life with her family and friends camping, boating and attending car shows.
She is survived by her mother, Barbara Thompson; her husband, Sherman Shirley; her daughter, Natalie Shirley, and her “Boy” as she called him, Joshua Bailey; her two brothers, Chris Thompson and wife Sandy and Jeremy Thompson and wife Felicia; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral service is at 3 p.m. Saturday, March 2, 2024, at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, with burial in Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation begins after 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
