At approximately 8:10 p.m. a car collided with a pole on North Race Street, near Cherry and Mitchell streets, leading to a power outage affecting roughly 200 people serviced by the Glasgow Electric Plant Board.
“Due to that, we’ve had a breaker open out of our Front Street substation. Our staff is currently working to isolate the outage to only those located in direct proximity of the damaged pole. After the area is isolated, crews will be replacing the broken pole,” said Aaron Russell with the EPB.
According to Major Terry Flatt, roads will be temporarily closed on North Race Street near Cherry Street and Mitchell Street because of the non-injury, single-vehicle crash.
