On Saturday, April 27, the Barren County YMCA held a "Recovery Rally" where individuals throughout the community gathered to give their testimonials, get free food and get materials from various recovery-oriented organizations. The first 200 people who showed up to the event were offered a free purple t-shirt with the phrase "Recover Loudly to Keep Others from Dying Quietly" written in white. The rally featured 22 unique vendor from New Path Recovery Home for Women and Bluegrass Professional Counseling to Victory Lane and Serenity House. Michael Crimmins/Glasgow News 1.

The recovery rally offered many prizes that were drawn throughout the rally, which lasted from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., provided by the 22 vendors that were present. Michael Crimmins/Glasgow News 1.

The rally also featured a color run, where kids could run through the woods behind the YMCA while the parents listened to testimonials and go to the vendors. Michael Crimmins/Glasgow News 1.
