From May 2-4, Barren County is hosting its annual Waste Tire Collection event in partnership with the Kentucky Division of Waste Management. Why Proper Tire Disposal Matters
Improperly discarded tires pose significant environmental risks. They can become breeding grounds for mosquitoes, contribute to air pollution when burned, and create eyesores in our communities. By properly disposing of tires individuals can prevent them from cluttering community landscapes, clogging drainage systems and posing health hazards. Participating in the Waste Tire Collection Event helps residents actively contribute to a cleaner and safer Barren County.
