After the severe weather that traced a path through much of Kentucky, Barren Countians have a two-week window to properly dispose of the resulting vegetation debris.
According to Glasgow/Barren County Emergency Management this disposal opportunity includes brush, tree limbs, and other types of “natural grown vegetation but does not extend to general trash or man made, or formed, lumber.
The location will be at 150 County Barn Road where electronic signs will be set up in the lower, gravel lot where residents will enter and exit. This opportunity, which began on May 28, will be from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day during the two-week window.
The disposal opportunity will end June 14.
“You will provide the manpower to unload whatever you bring,” the department’s social media post states. “This is a free service and geared to help our community members with relief. This is not for tree services to profit from.”
