Visitors along the 400-mile yard sale will travel U.S. 68/Ky. 80 in Barren County beginning Thursday morning. The annual event runs like a crooked grin across Kentucky as it follows the route of U.S. 68 from near Paducah in the west to near Maysville in the northeast. That path takes it through the heart of Barren County each year.
The Barren County Sheriff’s Office issued a press release that “wants to remind everyone that the 68/80 400-mile yard sale starts [Thursday] and will continue through the weekend. Please use caution in these areas due to more vehicle traffic and pedestrians on the side of the roadways.”
There are 35 vendor areas listed for the county on 400mile.com, the official site for the annual event. Those locations include a multi-vendor location on New Bowling Green Road at the Warren County line, several locations inside the Glasgow city limits, and several on the east side of Glasgow along Edmonton Road.
The Sheriff’s Office release also stated, “To report any issues or hazards, … the office can be reached by calling the Barren-Metcalfe Emergency Communications Center at 270-651-5151.
