PRESS RELEASE
Glasgow News 1
Public school educators interested in serving on the Kentucky Department of Education’s Commissioner’s Teachers Advisory Council may apply now.
The council is comprised of roughly 20 teacher leaders from across the Commonwealth who contribute crucial, diverse perspectives about important issues in schools to the commissioner of education.
According to the council’s website there will be four quarterly meetings each year. Meetings occur during the school day, so it is important for applicants to confirm with their supervisor that they will be allowed to attend the meetings before applying to serve. TAC members serve three-year terms.
For additional details regarding the TAC, visit the TAC webpage. Educators who are interested in serving must submit a TAC membership application by Aug. 30.
