Celebrate Library Card Sign-up Month this September with Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library and the American Library Association. We’re inviting everyone to discover the incredible resources and opportunities available at your local library by signing up for a library card.
This year, we’re thrilled to have Optimus Prime from the TRANSFORMERS as our special ambassador, highlighting that there’s more than meets the eye at Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library. Whether you’re looking to enhance your skills, find valuable information, or connect with fellow avid readers, a library card unlocks a world of possibilities.
Today’s libraries are vibrant community centers offering much more than just books. At Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library, you’ll find diverse programs, job search assistance, digital access, book clubs, story times, and more.
Curious about exploring a new hobby or learning a new language? Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library has the resources you need. Interested in starting or growing a small business? We provide books, reference, and access to Ebsco’s Small Business Database to assist entrepreneurs and small business owners with valuable information.
There is truly something for everyone at the library. Getting a library card is easy and is an essential step toward academic success and lifelong learning for students. Everyone should have one.
Join us throughout September for our Library Card Sign-Up activities, including:
Library Bingo: Pick up a bingo card from the Circulation desk or download and print from our website. Complete and mark off five bingo squares in a row. Fill out your name and phone number and turn your bingo card in to the library by September 30 to be entered for a prize.
Mission Autobot: For youth. Autobots have snuck into the youth department. Track one down and deliver it to a staff member. Once you have surrendered the Autobot, you will be given a ticket to enter a drawing. You may participate once each time you visit the library. Sign up for a library card and earn five tickets!
Free Library card replacement: During the month, Mary Wood Weldon Memorial Library will also be waiving the fee for lost library cards, a $3 value.
