Cave City Mayor Dwayne Hatcher was one of two individuals honored with the 2024 Kentucky League of Cities Leadership Enrichment And Development, or LEAD, Award.
The Kentucky League of Cities is a “nonprofit member association” that serves more than 370 Kentucky municipalities and provide them “with many services including legislative advocacy, legal services, community consulting, training and online training, policy development and research.”
KLC created the LEAD Award with the purpose of recognizing “Kentucky mayors whose leadership demonstrates a passion for local public service and commitment to lifelong learning” with a specific focus of benefitting smaller city mayors.
According to KLC’s website, the award benefits Kentucky mayors by supporting their attendance at KLC conferences and learning experiences.
