Barren County High school students are among those served by the Better Business Bureau of the Greater Kentucky and South Central Indiana area who are eligible to apply for the nonprofit’s “Trust Scholarship.”

The theme of the scholarship contest is “trust” and accepts submissions in four formats. The scholarship allows a short film or a public service announcement between 30-60 seconds long, an original graphic design, an original piece of artwork that uses any medium from paints and markers to charcoal and colored pencils, and an essay submission up to 1,000 words

According to the guidelines, students can submit multiple entries but re limited to one submission per category.

Scholarship monies will be awarded to students who finish first, second and third place and there will be a “public’s choice” winner determined through the bureau’s social media.

The submission deadline is Friday before Halloween, which would be Oct. 25, and winners will be notified via email before or by the week of Thanksgiving.

There is no entry fee for this scholarship opportunity.
