Glasgow Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire at 515 W. Cherry St.
Upon arrival, fire units found smoke and flames coming from the front of the structure. The structure was not occupied by the residents at the time of the fire.
However, one resident received minor burns and smoke inhalation after rescuing some pets from the structure. The resident was treated and released by Barren/Metcalfe EMS.
The fire was extinguished by GFD personnel. Glasgow Fire Department was assisted by Barren Metcalfe Ambulance Service and Glasgow EPB.
Units were on scene for approximately two hours. No other injuries were reported.
