Barren County under wind advisory until 5 p.m.

Barren County is under a wind advisory until 5 p.m. Dec. 31, according to the National Weather Service in Louisville.

The service states southwest winds between 15 to 25 miles per hour with gusts up to 40 miles per hour is expected during this time.

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects,” the service states. “Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high profile vehicles; use extra caution [and] secure outdoor objects.”
