A winter weather watch has been issued for parts of Kentucky, including Hart, Edmonson and Green counties. Horse Cave, which is on the Hart and Barren county line is included in the watch.
The National Weather Service in Louisville forecasts that temperatures will continue to drop this weekend with a low around 24 degrees. “A wintry mix of snow, sleet, and freezing rain is expected from early Sunday morning through Monday afternoon,” the weather service stated.
Bridge Kentucky in Glasgow offers a warming room from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day at 1411 N. Race St. In addition to providing a warm space, the warming room offers coffee, snacks, and a place to sit indoors away from the cold.
Free coats are available on the Glasgow Public Square next to Glasgow City Hall. For those who would like to help others, they can drop off coats at the coat rack.
