UPDATED: No injuries reported after apartment fire

At 5:01 p.m. Friday, members of the Glasgow Fire Department were dispatched to 207 Park Avenue.

According to the press release from the department, firefighters saw “dark smoke and fire” coming from the front of the apartment and located the fire in the living room.

The fire was extinguished, but the apartment living room had “heavy fire and water damage” with smoke damage throughout the rest of the unit.

No injuries were reported.

The fire is currently under investigation by the Glasgow Police Department, according to the release.

An apartment at Arbors of Glasgow was damaged by a fire Friday evening. The apartment, 207, faces Park Avenue, which led to the road being closed for several hours as Glasgow Fire Department members battled the blaze.

The Glasgow Police Department reported the road closure at about 5 p.m. Friday.
